Our Story

One Calling, One Mission

A creative studio built around one purpose: helping churches, schools, ministries, and faith driven businesses reach the people they are called to serve.

How Doxaphos Began

Doxaphos didn’t begin as a business plan. It began with a simple search: finding a private Christian school for my child.

I reviewed more than sixty school websites, and almost none of them did their school justice. Broken navigation, dead links, blurry photography, admissions pages that discouraged families before they ever reached the form. These were schools doing meaningful, faithful work, shaping the next generation, yet their websites told a very different story.

That was the moment it clicked. I had spent two decades building brands for clients ranging from luxury hotels to small, handcrafted businesses. That search stayed with me.

I had already spent more than two decades building brands, designing campaigns, directing creative work, and helping businesses communicate who they were. My career had taken me from small handcrafted brands to international luxury and household names. I didn’t want to build another agency competing for the highest bidder. I wanted to build something that felt like ministry itself, using the gifts God had given me.

So I prayed over it, gathered everything I had learned through more than two decades in design and creative direction, and founded Doxaphos.

Doxaphos is new studio, but I not new to this work. Every project I take on receives the same care and rigor I once brought to national campaigns now directed toward the people and places we care about most, and in many ways, it all began with the very kind of school I was trying to find for my own child.

meet Our FOUNDER,Creative Director & Designer

Aurelia Corvinus Johnson

Aurelia is an artist, designer, strategist, and creative director with nearly two and a half decades of experience. Her practice bridges branding, design, creative direction, and practical marketing strategie, particularly for organizations and founders whose work is deeply connected to their values.

Her background spans branding, fine art, and graphic design, with extensive experience working with handcrafted, values-driven businesses where authenticity and differentiation matter. She holds dual BFA’s in Fine Art and Graphic Design, respectively. She’s collaborated with authors, speakers, educators, coaches, wellness professionals, and independent founders, translating complex ideas and personal missions into visual identities that feel clear, credible, and true to who they are.

Alongside this, she brings a strong foundation in high-level luxury and corporate creative work. She’s partnered with brands including Bentley, Dewey’s Bakery, Old Salem, Highlands Cove Realty, Lux Resort Maldives, Krispy Kreme, Panera Bread, Estée Lauder, Harrods of London, and Sainsbury’s. After college, she began her career in 2003 as a graphic designer and lifestyle photographer at a major UK advertising agency, then moved into creative direction at a leading Southeastern marketing firm, where she led teams on large-scale global campaigns and high-level visual strategy.

Now she brings that same level of craft and strategy to churches, ministries, Christian schools, and faith-driven founders. The brands she’s built for global names taught her what it takes to earn trust at scale, and she believes your church’s website or your ministry’s brand deserves nothing less than what she once built for the boardroom. Whether it’s a pastor trying to make a first-time visitor feel at home or an entrepreneur building a business as an act of worship, she wants the outside to feel as true and as excellent as the mission behind it.

What people notice most, though, isn’t her resume. It’s that she actually listens. She’s warm, and easy to work with. She’s also very direct and tells you what’s best, not just what you want to hear. She wants to understand the heart behind what you’re building before she ever opens a design file, and it shows in the work.

Her most remarkable trait: Interactive Design using live screen sharing via Zoom or in person at your location. End the revision loop once and for all and edit in real time with her. She’s patient, quick and works with you to create your vision into a high level professional design.

Welcome to the Doxaphos difference!

How Can We Help?

We are not a high volume studio and we do not rush clients through a pipeline or funnel. We don’t hold “sales calls” nor do we upsell. We have a simple conversation with zero pressure. It’s comfortable, authentic and honest for all. If we work together it is because there is a genuine match between your vision, purpose and our craft. That connection begins in your first message and unfolds naturally from there.

If you feel the pull to work together, the next step is simple. Reach out. We’ll ask question and you tell us your mission and where you are and within a few days you’ll have a sense of scope and investment. We do not use automated calendars, scheduling bots, or endless app messages. Our work is personal, nuanced, and built on real human connection.

Our first exchange between us deserves presence, not software. We are also happy to meet in person in the Piedmont Triad, Lake Norman or Asheville areas of North Carolina, Southwestern Virginia, and Eastern Tennessee.
