Dear Christian Entrepreneurs: AI Generated Messaging Is Costing You Clients

There is no Holy Spirit in AI. The Holy Spirit abides in the soul of a Believer.
AI can organize ideas. It can help with grammar. It can speed up research. But it cannot replace the testimony, wisdom, compassion, and lived experience God has given you.
And people can tell! You can tell can’t you?
Most Christian small business owners do not struggle because their products are poor or their services suck. They struggle because their message sounds like everyone else’s.
Generic.
Polished.
Forgettable.
Human beings were created for relationships, not algorithms and keywords. We connect through stories, shared experiences, authenticity and sincerity. A message without heart may be technically correct, but it rarely inspires trust…it’s not REAL.
Why AI Messaging Falls Flat
AI Generated text removes YOU. It takes away:
• Your personality.
• Your testimony.
• Your convictions.
• Your struggles.
• Your compassion.
• The little details that make people feel seen.
No one buys because your website says:
“Elevating brands with innovative solutions and exceptional service.”
People buy because they recognize a real person behind the business.
Speak Like a Person, Not a Corporation
Instead of:
“We provide premium handcrafted products with unparalleled quality.”
Say:
“I started making these because I couldn’t find beautiful, heirloom pieces rooted in faith and old world craftsmanship. Every item is made by hand, and I pray over my work and the people who receive it.”
One sounds manufactured.
The other sounds human. The other sounds Christian. If someone doesn’t want your item because you pray over it, then I promise you don’t want them buying. This raw authenticity speaks to your target customer and the one that will bring you the most joy in having as a client.
Four Simple Ways to Bring Warmth Back to Your Brand
1. Tell Stories: real, messy, inspiring stories.
Share why you started.
Share mistakes you’ve made.
Share what God has taught you.
Stories are memorable. Features are not.
2. Write Like You Speak
Imagine writing to one friend you’ve known for decades or what you would say if you were catching up over coffee.
Remove corporate language. People don’t want “Innovative Solutions” they want to feel something. Joy, relief, ease that you’re taking something off their plate.
Choose warmth over perfection.
3. Share Your “Why”
People are drawn to purpose.
What burden did God place on your heart?
Why does this work matter to you?
Let people see that.
4. Use AI as a Tool, Not a Voice
Let AI help with editing and organization if you must. Personally, I believe a pen and paper before you write to lay out your thoughts and then a good ol’ spellcheck afterwards gets you further than chatGPT ever will.
But do not surrender your witness, your testimony, or your personality trying to reach people.
People don’t need another polished brand.
They need honesty.
They need beauty.
They need sincerity.
And they need to know there is a real person behind the business.
Your words do not need to sound impressive.
They need to sound like you.
Because trust is built when people encounter something increasingly rare…a human being with conviction, kindness, and a story worth telling.
